UCRC/SEREFO Lab: DU training of Mycobacteriology has started

Scheduled from 1 to 26 July 2019, the DU training of Mycobacteriology started at UCRC/SEREFO Lab.

It is organized by the University of Science, Technique and Technology of Bamako (USTTB) through the UCRC / SEREFO Laboratories and the International Center for Excellence in Research (ICER) of the USTTB / NIAID, in partnership with the Hospital and University Centers of Point G, Gabriel Touré and the National Center for Support to the Fight Against Disease.

The objectives of this training, are: train staff for the bacteriological diagnosis of tuberculosis and leprosy, decrease the prevalence of tuberculosis in Mali, contribute to the eradication of leprosy in Mali, improve the quantity and quality of data for a better estimate of tuberculosis management, improve staff skills in the treatment of tuberculosis and leprosy.

It brings together about twenty participants composed of : students enrolled in the DES in Clinical Biology, biology technicians, interns of hospitals, doctors of medicine, doctors in pharmacy.
